Limited Edition of 25
Ronin is a signed and numbered limited edition of giclée prints available starting at 10 AM PDT on Tuesday, July 16th. The edition is limited by the number of prints sold during those 24 hours and never reprinted.
Ronin meaning ‘wave man’ refers to the masterless lone samurai during feudal Japan. At the end of the Edo period the warrior culture that built a nation changed into a society of consumers and technology. Swords were banned, bushido code outlawed and the samurai were declared rebels of the empire. For these Ronin the true way of the warrior transcended blind military nationalism. It meant to live and die by principles aligned with Nature to cultivate inner potential through physical, mental and spiritual self discipline. Inspired by the sculpture of Kusunoki Masashige and the life of Miyamoto Musashi, this print is produced on special museum etching paper which retains the depth of the original painting and includes a custom gold embossment of a resurrected Samurai.
This print will ship flat and the production will be finalized after the sale is complete. Please allow an estimated shipping time within 4-6 weeks of the sale. Thank you.
